The Burrell Collection houses a world-famous collection gifted to Glasgow by Sir William Burrell. As well as exhibiting the finest tapestry collection outside Paris, visitors can see art objects from Iraq, Egypt, Greece and Italy. This award winning building displays a fine collection of furniture, textiles, ceramics, medieval European sculptures, drawings and a stunning collection of stained glass.
The Burrell Restaurant is situated on the lower ground floor of the collection in a magnificent glassed roof structure that offers a fine view of the extensive wooded grounds of Pollok Park. This provides a backdrop for a marquee event for up to 2,000. The Burrell Collection has a number of hospitality uses and can be flexibly arranged to suit most requirements. There is also access to a fully audio-visual 180 seated lecture theatre within the collection. | ||
